Sir Alex Ferguson proves he’s still the boss at Manchester United (SEE REASONS)

Sir Alex Ferguson may have retired in 2013 but the Scot is still running Old Trafford with an iron fist if today’s evidence is anything to go by. The 76-year-old attended a memorial service at Old Trafford today to remember those who lost their lives on the 60th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.

Ferguson revived United’s youth set-up when he was appointed manager in 1986 and named a club youth product in every single one of his matchday squads for the duration of his 27 years at the Theatre of Dreams.

It’s no surprise then that the Scot has been impressed with countryman Scott McTominay, who has broke into United’s first-team squad this term. The midfielder started ahead of Paul Pogba in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Huddersfield and Ferguson told Mourinho to pick the 21-year-old more often as he made his way out of the stadium earlier today.

Ferguson can be heard calling after Scott and shared a few words with the young midfielder after the service. Ferguson then embraces Mourinho and points after McTominay, telling the Portuguese boss to select the midfielder for the rest of the season.

McTominay’s made six appearances for United this term and is in line to start for the Red Devils’ trip to Newcastle on Sunday after impressing against the Terriers. The youngster signed for United at the age of seven – when Ferguson was 18 years into his reign at Old Trafford.
