A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi has hailed the people of Oyo State for electing Engr. Seyi Makinde has the next governor of the state.
The Osun PDP chief, Monday, also conveyed his hearty congratulations to the Oyo State Governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the impressive victory he recorded in the just concluded gubernatorial election.
In a congratulatory message which he personally signed and made available to pressmen, Dr Ogunbiyi harped on that the outcome of the gubernatorial poll was indeed a victory for all lovers of decency and the indefatigable people of Oyo.
The message reads in part: “against all odds, the people demonstrated that their will is greater than any democratic authority. This is a clear message to all political office holders who care to listen.
“I’m not surprised at this feat. You have worked so hard for it and deserve the massive support you are getting now. You have paid your dues, done the grind, always worn diligence, dedication and professionalism like a toga.”
“Your victory did not come as a surprise to me. One with your level of dedication to humanity deserves no less than you are getting now. Your hard work is inspiring. Keep the flag flying.”
“I am confident that under your able leadership, Oyo’s leading role in advancing the values and principles of the Yorubas will be strengthened again. I am delighted that you will work for the good people of Oyo State and be fair to all.”
“I am confident that the trust reposed on you by the people of Oyo will inspire you to multiply your significant efforts in promoting the culture and values of the people, leading Oyo on the path of prosperity, further well-being and security for all.”
“I firmly believe that you will develop dynamic, mutually beneficial relations and initiatives in economy and science that will strengthen the state and bring about a speedy transformation of the society and mass of its people.”
“Please accept my very best wishes for a successful tenure of office and my personal regards. God bless Oyo State. God bless the Peoples Democratic Party. God bless Nigeria.”
