Because rapper Olamide included a SARS officer, popularly known as Yomi Sars, Nigerians want his head. But Olamide is not our problem or the one who puts us in this situation. He is just an entertainer doing his job.Like any other showbiz personality, Olamide felt Yomi Sars is a great performer and he did nothing wrong to include him in his lineup of performing artistes.
While Nigerians have the right to be angry with the present situation of the country and the treatment they get from the SARS operatives, they should let Olamide be. Though I was not in Olamide’s mind, the move might be his way of making things right following the clamour for the end of SARS in Nigeria.
For the people who boycotted the show because of Yomi Sars, they only have themselves to blame as the show went on without them. They missed out on all the fun and will have to wait till next year to experience another OLIC.For Olamide, you may want to think twice before you do certain things. Nigerians lack patience and will come after you once you don’t do what they want. These people are your fans; so, you shouldn’t upset them. These people are next to God in your life as they made you who you are today.
