Ahead of the Fifa World Cup, Liverpool superstar Mohammed Salah has been included in Egypt’s final 23-man squad to the World in Russia.
The Egypt international was substituted in the Champions League final against Real Madrid after he was bundled down by Sergio Ramos and injured his shoulder in the process.
The world was put in shock thinking the 25-year-old will miss football’s world showpiece as speculation about his presence in Russia was in doubt.
A few days later, coach Hector Cuper included the former Chelsea attacker’s name into the 30-man provisional squad for the tourney.
However the doubts about his World Cup ambitions have been put to rest as the Red Egyptian tops the list for the Pharaohs.
A few days ago, their Argentine coach said Salah’s situation will not hinder his chances in making his debut for the Pharaohs after their 28-year absence from the competition.
Egypt will play in Group A alongside World Cup hosts, Russia, Middle East nation, Saudi Arabia, and South American power house, Uruguay. PAY
Salah who scored 47 goals in 44 appearances for the Liverpool this season will meet up with the squad on June, 9, after undergoing a special program for his fitness.Download Our ANDROID APPLICATION now! DOWNLOAD NOW
