British boxing champion, Anthony Joshua has defeated Ukrainian boxer Wladmir Klitschko at Wembley, London to become the WBA and IBF heavyweight champion.
The 27-year-old boxer did well to knock out his towering opponent in the 11th round after showing signs of weaknesses earlier in front of 90,000 fans in London.
In the sixth round, Joshua appeared to be struggling after he was sent crashing for the first time in his illustrious career, sending shocking waves among the crowd. But he continued in subsequent rounds before he eventually knocked out Klitschko in the eleventh round.
After the fight, a defeated Klitschko said: “I hope you enjoyed the fight,The best man won tonight. And it’s an amazing event for boxing. Two gentleman fought each other and he was better today than I. It’s really sad that I didnt make it tonight I was planning to do it but it didnt work. But all due respect to Anthony. Congratulations.”
Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua used to the opportunity to call out Tyson Fury, who might be his next opponent, he said: ‘Come on is that what you want to see? I enjoy fighting, I love fighting.
‘Tyson Fury, I know he’s been talking a lot and he wants to come back and compete – I want to give 90,000 people the chance to watch another night of boxing,’ he said.
‘I just want to fight everyone I’m really enjoying this right now’
